7artisans 35mm f2 M-mount – Affordable glass for Leica, Sony and Fuji

This is a quick review of the long awaited 7artisans 35mm f2 lens. Its a Leica-M mount that won’t break your bank and delivers very pleasing images. It can of course be adapted to most mirrorless cameras as well.

I rarely review lenses and when I do they are “quick reviews”. I do so simply because when I buy a lens I only need to know three things.

  1. Is is the focal length and aperture for me? (Something that a youtube review can’t tell me.)
  2. Is the image quality to my liking? (Better of looking at Flickr for that.)
  3. Is there any major flaws to the build and function? (This is what I look for in youtube reviews.)

So I keep them short and sweet with only quick snaps. As you can see its sharp enough with a bit softer corners than the 50mm. And it has plenty of character.

I recommend buying gear used. But if you want to splash some cash around you can do so here:

Sharp enough.
